NEW! Online DJUSD Parent Forms

This year DJUSD is both reducing costs and going “green” by placing our 2009-2010 “Back-to-School” district forms on the DJUSD website.

Effective August 1, 2009, you will be able to view and print district forms at your convenience.  If you prefer or require paper copies, they will be available at each school site when the school offices reopen on August 10th. The website will specify which forms will be required to start the new year so we will make every effort to assist families in this transition to the electronic format.

This year you can expect that your child’s school will still send their own site specific packet home. We hope that in the 2010-2011 year we will be able to convert to a wholly online registration/enrollment process.

We are confident that this decrease in duplication and labor costs will benefit our district and we are certain that the steep reduction in paper use will benefit us all. We hope you have a wonderful summer break. And, as thoughts of school return on August 1st, please take some time to go to the DJUSD website: http://www.djusd.net/ and look for the updated 2009-2010 “Back-to-School” district forms.

Sincerely,

Pam Mari

PTA "media volunteers" help disseminate information
When you send an announcement to the address at DHSPTAmedia@mailman.dcn.org (note the word "media" after DHSPTA in the address), volunteers responsible for the newsletter, listserver, website and web calendar will simultaneously receive your message and will help you disseminate it to the DHS community through the appropriate channel(s). This is a permanent address to help streamline school-wide and district-wide communications. Submitting before the newsletter deadline will ensure your message will reach all DHS families, whether they have Internet access or not. See submission guidelines. Note: Announcements for the Daily Bulletin need to be sent directly to the DHS secretary. Please DON'T send submissions for non-school events even if they are geared towards students because they won't be included in the Daily Bulletin.
