Curriculum & Instruction Committee (C&I)
The Curriculum & Instruction Committee at the high school functions as a major decision-making/clearing house that examines issues important to the functioning of the high school as a whole. It makes recommendations to the District and School Board on issues regarding curriculum and instruction ranging from such examples as new courses and programs, to block scheduling, weighted grades, and staff collaboration.
Members include representatives from the administration, teachers, counselors, supporting staff, and two parent representatives and an alternate nominated by the PTA. The committee usually meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month, 2:45 - 5:00 p.m., DHS Staff Room (see the DHS online DHS PTA calendar for dates). Contact the current parent representatives for questions related to this committee. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please submit your name to the PTA president before the nomination deadline as announced in the PTA newsletters every year.
Minutes are
usually written by the secretary and approved by the committee before
posting online on the PTA website.
