Lili Floyd makes language come alive for her students, and is dedicated to conveying  that, to truly understand another person, you must first understand his language.  Frau Floyd provides a wonderful, safe environment for students to discover themselves.  Her class is rich with educational opportunities and laughter.  She finds the time to get to know her students and what is important to them.  As advisor to the German American Partnership Program, Frau Floyd offers students and their families an opportunity to become part of a wider community.  She deserves this award, not only for being an outstanding teacher, but also for being a major force that keeps the German program running both at the high school and at the junior highs.
