As an English teacher, as a Public Speaking and Debate teacher, and as faculty advisor to the DHS Debate Team, Marilyn Hauber communicates her passion for written and oral communication to her students, and encourages them to work hard to achieve their greatest potential.  In terms of teaching critical thinking skills and encouraging students to challenge their brain power to the limit, no class can compare to Ms. Hauber’s debate class.  She never fails to provide a rigorous educational experience.  She gives generously of her time after school as well as “on the job” to assist students in meeting their goals and performing their best, and does this while creating an atmosphere of collegiality and camaraderie rather than competition.
