Congratulations to science teacher Nancy Coulson for being named the Outstanding DHS Educator for 2004-05. "...Mrs. Coulson was prepared to demonstrate how enthusiastic she was about teaching our sophomores biology. ...already, (at Back-to-School night) she had a slide show running of our children doing experiments in her class. We could tell by the looks on their faces that they were having fun learning. The year's worth of projects ...from making root beer to a CSI type forensic experience ensured their interest in Biology would continue. She kept them engaged in science and how it can be applied to the real world. For the last two years Mrs. Coulson has served as advisor for the 'PHAT FRIDAYS' club developed to get kids involved in creating fun, alcohol free, free events for high school students."
