A tremendous THANK YOU to Tsui Chang, our outstanding PTA volunteer of the year.

Tsui has moved the DHS PTA into the 21st century by creating and implementing a plan for how technology can help us be more efficient and effective.

Tsui has invested countless hours in creating the PTA web site. This information-packed site is a one-stop resource where parents and students can view academic and activities calendars, read the latest announcements from teachers and administrators, and stay in touch with one another. The Daily Bulletin is on the web site. So are the newsletters, the Scholarship Bulletin, agenda and minutes of committee meetings, and more. If you haven't checked out our new Web site yet, you owe yourself a visit. About 400 DHS household read the newsletter on the web each month, saving the PTA hundreds of dollars a year in copying and mailing expenses. If you would like to read yours on the web next year, just join the PTA listserver by filling out a simple form online.

In addition, Tsui has worked with the generous folks at Davis Community Network to provide listservers for each high school class as well as for the Daily Bulletin. These e-mail message groups will provide an easy way for parents and guardians to stay connected, and for school personnel to efficiently answer some of the parents' common questions.
