Every year, PTA tries to raise funds to support an area identified by teachers and staff as beneficial to the entire student population but where funding is lacking from traditional sources.  Recent examples include, in 2004-05, a $10,000 worth of updated access for Newsbank Data Base and science department equipment.  In 2005-06, PTA raised over $17,000 for the Science Department (nine digital microscope cameras and nine computers for the science classes) and Ag Mechanics.
