Whether it's for summer, concurrent to school, or post high, the Career Center has information on all sorts of jobs for now or later.  You will also find information on the training required.  Student work permits for students under 18 years of age are required by law and are processed through the Career Center.  (Did you know high school students with work permits may not work on days when they’re absent from school?)   Many employers are interested in your student’s skills.  What do employers want? Problem-solving skills rank number one.  Communications skills are a close second.  Real work employment presents valuable experience for students who may want to consider college later, but aren't sure exactly what they want to study.
